Joel Slanisky has a diverse and extensive work experience in the casino and gaming industry. Joel began their career at Great Canadian Casinos in 2005 as a Guest Services Supervisor, where they managed staff and ensured guest satisfaction. Joel later took on the role of Marketing Assistant, implementing promotions and enhancing internal communication. Joel then became a Marketing Coordinator, playing a key role in the creation and development of the brand property and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
In 2014, Joel joined Hard Rock Casino Vancouver as a Marketing Specialist, responsible for implementing new casino products and executing marketing plans. Joel was later promoted to Marketing Manager, overseeing all casino marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertising.
Joel continued their career at Great Canadian Gaming Corporation in 2016 as the Director of Marketing for Ontario East. In this role, they managed and implemented regional marketing initiatives, developed and monitored marketing strategies, and established partnerships. Joel successfully transitioned operations of Ontario Lottery and Gaming properties to Ontario Gaming East L.P.
In 2018, Joel joined One Toronto Gaming as the Executive Director Marketing, where they led the marketing department and collaborated on strategies with the marketing team. Joel also served as the Director of Marketing, responsible for marketing and advertising initiatives.
Currently, Joel works at Great Canadian Entertainment as the Vice President of Loyalty & Direct Marketing, a role they assumed in 2022.
Joel Slanisky pursued a Marketing Management Diploma - Communications Option at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Additionally, they studied Computer Science and Business Administration at Simon Fraser University.
