Tim Byrne has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Tim founded Great Bay Insurance Group in 2019 and serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer. The company specializes in coastal residential homeowners insurance and is the first admitted property & casualty insurance company founded in New Jersey in over 25 years. Prior to this, Tim Byrne was the President of Risk Advisors Consulting Group since 2017. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Executive Vice President at Orchid Underwriters. Before that, Tim Byrne served as the President of Coastal Agents Alliance from 2004 to 2017. Tim began their career at J. Byrne Agency, Inc. where they held the role of Vice President from 1983 to 2004.

Tim Byrne completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued further education and received a Diploma in Risk and Insurance from St. John's University, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, during the academic year of 1982 to 1983.
