Kat Lawson has a diverse work experience in benefits and human resources roles. Kat currently works at Gray as a Benefits Specialist. In their previous role at KCTCS, they worked as a Benefits Compliance Coordinator from July 2018 to October 2021, and before that, they were a Benefits Specialist from August 2016 to July 2018. Prior to KCTCS, Kat worked at New Seasons Market, where they served as a Benefits and Compensation Coordinator from April 2015 to April 2016. Kat also held the position of Human Resources Coordinator from August 2012 to April 2015, and started their career at New Seasons Market as a Service Manager from August 2010 to August 2012.

Kat Lawson has a bachelor's degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine - School of Social Ecology. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in June 2021.
