Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they attended the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, specializing in Biochemistry. Lastly, they enrolled at UMass Chan Medical School from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained their Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.
