Alexander Tsyplikhin

Director, Field AI Engineering at Graphcore

Alexander Tsyplikhin, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and software development. Alexander'smost recent role was as a Contributor at Zark.AI starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Graphcore from 2018 to 2022 in various roles, including Director of Field AI Engineering and Senior Manager of Field AI Engineering. At Graphcore, they were responsible for evangelizing the company's unique processor technology for machine learning and building strong relationships with customers and partners.

From 2015 to 2018, Alexander Tsyplikhin served as the General Manager and AI Evangelist at Data Monsters, a company that provides AI and machine learning consulting services. Alexander'srole involved defining and executing the company's strategy, driving partnerships, and managing customer relations in the US market.

Before that, they co-founded Flexis in 2010, a software development company that focused on data analytics and visualization projects. As the co-founder, they led customer relations and oversaw projects using technologies like Scala, Spark, Objective-C, and AngularJS. In addition, they also founded their own project called TeamHunt in 2014, a web app aimed at helping users discover technology consulting teams based on their expertise. Alexander also worked as a Channel Sales Director at RDTEX from 2008 to 2010, leading partner relations and negotiating deals for Oracle. Additionally, they founded and developed Meffistofel, an x86 resident debugger, from 1994 to 1996.

Alexander Tsyplikhin, PhD, obtained a PhD in Speech Biometrics and Language Processing from the Academy of Sciences in 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree with Honors in Computer Science and Electronics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in 2002. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a number of Coursera course certificates in various subjects including machine learning, big data analysis, parallel programming, and bioinformatics. Alexander also holds certifications in deploying machine learning models in production and introduction to machine learning in production from Coursera. In 2018, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. In terms of language proficiency, they have achieved the highest proficiency level (C2) in the Italian language from Università per Stranieri di Siena in 2005.
