Emiko Ono is a seasoned arts professional with extensive experience in program development and grant management. Currently serving as a Board Member for Grantmakers in the Arts since November 2019, Emiko has held various leadership positions at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, including Program Director and Program Officer for Performing Arts since October 2011. Emiko's previous roles include Advisory Board member for Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles, Director of Grants and Professional Development at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission from 2008 to September 2011, and Board Member for the Museum Educators of Southern California. Additionally, Emiko managed education initiatives and partnerships at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from 2004 to 2007, where Emiko was instrumental in founding the Museum’s Education Partnership Initiative. Emiko holds a Master of Science degree in Leadership in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
