Jacob Farrar has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Jacob started their career at Associated Students of California State University, Chico as an Apple Technician, where they were responsible for repairing Apple computer products and providing exceptional customer service. Jacob worked in this role from August 2011 to July 2014.
Following their time at Associated Students, Jacob joined Follett Higher Education Group as an Apple Technician, where they continued to excel in resolving Apple computer-related issues. Jacob also managed and trained other technicians during their tenure from July 2014 to April 2016.
In 2016, Jacob transitioned to Grantek, where they took on the role of Controls Engineer. In this position, they developed automation solutions, completed project documentation, and utilized various software programming tools. Jacob held this role from July 2016 to December 2020.
Later in their time at Grantek, Jacob took on the role of Project Manager, PMO. Here, they oversaw the development, implementation, and execution of assigned projects. Jacob'sresponsibilities included tracking project scope, goals, cost, and deliverables, as well as performing project scheduling and determining requirements. Jacob has been in this role since December 2020.
Jacob Farrar obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechatronic Engineering from California State University, Chico, between the years 2011 and 2016. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a ThinManager® Certified Integrator Partner. In 2017, they completed certifications for FactoryTalk Historian 4.x, FactoryTalk VantagePoint 7.X, Ignition Gold 7.9, and Ignition 7.9. Furthermore, in 2016, they achieved certification for Ignition 7.8. Prior to their engineering certifications, Jacob obtained certifications from Pearson VUE, including Apple Certified Mac Technician, Mac Service Certification, MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), MacBook Air (Mid 2013, Early 2014, and Early 2015) Qualification, MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) Qualification, MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid-2012) Qualification, and iMac (Late 2012) Qualification. Finally, they obtained an Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification in 2018 from the American Red Cross.
