Mercy Alaso is a Transaction Advisory Associate at Grant Thornton (Uganda) since June 2023, specializing in financial modeling, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and investment appraisal, with a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks. Prior to this role, Mercy participated in a Global Markets Trading Virtual Experience Programme at Standard Bank Group in April 2023, where tasks included preparing for economic events and optimizing investment portfolios. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town, along with secondary education focused on Mathematics, Economics, and Physics from Mt. St. Mary's Namagunga.
