Travus Burton is an accomplished professional in civic learning and community engagement, currently serving as the Director for Civic Learning and Community Engagement at Grand Valley State University since January 2018. With prior experience as an Experiential Learning Coordinator at Oakland University and as President of the Isabella County Restoration House, Travus has a strong background in developing community partnerships and addressing social issues, particularly homelessness. Additional roles include Service-Learning Coordinator at Central Michigan University and HUD Case Manager at Capital Area Community Services. Travus holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in the same field from Central Michigan University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communication from Saginaw Valley State University.
