Dr. Alan Woodward possesses extensive experience in mental health, crisis support, and suicide prevention, with over 20 years in the field. As Chair and Non-Executive Board Member at Grand Pacific Health since October 2019, Dr. Woodward also serves as Head of Policy at LifeLine International, leveraging expertise for global crisis line contributions and community-based suicide prevention. Additionally, Dr. Woodward chairs the Advisory Board for the National Suicide Prevention Office and offers consultancy services through Alan Woodward Consulting. Previous roles include Commissioner at the National Mental Health Commission, Strategic Adviser at Suicide Prevention Australia, and Executive Director at Lifeline Australia, where Dr. Woodward led research, strategy, and national service programs. Dr. Woodward holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne focused on crisis line experiences, alongside advanced degrees in social science, public administration, and communications.
