Nihad Mourad has extensive work experience in the education field. From 2007 to 2014, they served as the Principal of Granada Islamic School, where they were responsible for various tasks such as overseeing the academic program, implementing a uniform grading policy, and preparing the school calendar and class schedules. Prior to that, they worked as a Math Teacher at Notre Dame High School, San Jose, from 2000 to 2001. Nihad also held positions at Granada Islamic School, including Vice Principal, where they assisted the principal and oversaw the high school program. Nihad's teaching experience includes math and Islamic Studies subjects for grades 5 to 10. Currently, they serve as the Head of School at Granada School.
Nihad Mourad has a diverse education history. Nihad obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University in 1991. Nihad later pursued a teaching career and earned a Teaching Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in 1999, specializing in Mathematics Education. In 2005, they completed their Master of Arts degree in Math Education from San Jose State University. Subsequently, Nihad pursued further education to enhance their leadership skills and completed a Certificate of Non-Profit Management in 2008 and a Master of Arts degree in Education Leadership in 2009, both from San Jose State University. In 2009, they also obtained an Administrative Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
