Paul Vasta, Ph.D. is a seasoned professional in the biomedical engineering field, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Gramercy Extremity Orthopedics since September 2015. Vasta's expertise lies in developing cost-effective and user-friendly orthopedic medical implants utilizing innovative RFID technology. As an independent consultant since April 2015, Vasta offers specialized knowledge in biomedical engineering. Previously, Vasta held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Acacia Research from March 2012 to March 2015, focusing on patent analysis for medical technologies. Prior roles include Vice President of Research & Development at Orthofix and various engineering positions at Human Performance Measurement. Vasta earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and also holds a Master's degree from the same institution and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University.
