Adam Harvey has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry, starting from 2010. Adam is currently employed as a Staff Scientist in the R&D department at GRAIL since December 2022. Before that, they worked at Ravel Biotechnology as a Sr. Scientist - Director for NGS Assay Development from September 2021 to December 2022, and as a Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology from September 2019 to September 2021. Prior to Ravel Biotechnology, they worked at Freenome as a Scientist in Molecular Biology from May 2018 to September 2019. From 2016 to 2018, they were associated with a company called Driver, where they served as the NGS Assay Development Lead, responsible for developing and validating high throughput assays for solid FFPE tumor/normal samples. Additionally, Adam gained experience in manual multiplexed cfDNA assays during their tenure at Driver. Before joining Driver, they worked at StemCells, Inc. as a Technical Scientist focusing on assay methods development and process development from June 2014 to May 2016. Adam'searly career experience includes working as an Associate Scientist at SanBio from September 2010 to June 2014. Overall, Adam Harvey has extensive experience in various scientific roles, including assay development, molecular biology, and technical methods development.

Adam Harvey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with a focus on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained between 2005 and 2008. Adam then pursued a Master of Science degree in Professional Science Masters with a specialization in Biomedical Science at San Francisco State University from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Adam has obtained certifications in "Algorithms for DNA Sequencing" and "Python for Genomic Data Science" from Coursera in November and December of 2022, respectively.
