Leon Chen has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Leon started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at the Beijing Machine Tool Research Institute in 1985. Leon then worked as a Project Manager at China Minmetals Corporation, where they managed international trading for metals and rare earth minerals.
In 1991, Leon joined Star Import/Export Geselschaft mbH as a Sales Manager, responsible for selling German-made mechanical equipment and parts in Asia. Leon later moved to Hai Cheung Trading Co., (HK), where they served as the General Manager of the Beijing Office. In this role, they managed the sales and customer service teams, primarily focusing on the marine, offshore oil, and petrochemical industries.
Leon joined Rolls-Royce Canada in 1997 as an Area Sales Manager for Asia. After that, they became the President and CEO of China Force Grain & Oil Industries in 2002. In this position, they led the company's operations and achieved significant results.
From 2005 to 2006, Leon served as the President and CEO (Interim) of Bayspec, Inc. Leon successfully restructured the organization and turned the company's poor financial standing into a profitable one.
Leon'smost recent position was at Graham Corporation, where they joined in 2006 as the Managing Director, Greater China & General Sales Manager, Asia. Leon started the fully-owned subsidiary in China, built a sales and engineering team, developed customer relationships, and expanded sales in the refining, petrochemical, power, and nuclear energy industries for the vacuum and heat transfer systems.

Leon Chen obtained a B. Eng degree in Laser and Photonics Technology from Tianjin University in the years 1981 to 1985. Leon then pursued a B. Econom degree in International Business from the University of International Business and Economics from 1987 to 1989. Later, they completed an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Washington University in St. Louis in the period 2012 to 2013.
