Manoochehr Khazaee, PhD, is a Toxicologist at Gradient since October 2023. Previously, Khazaee worked as a Toxicology Post-Doc in Regulatory Science at Eurofins from March 2022 to October 2023, focusing on regulatory in vivo genotoxicity assays for tobacco products and conducting literature reviews in toxicology. From August 2016 to April 2022, Khazaee served as a Research Mentor and Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where a physiologically based pharmacokinetic model for PFAS in zebrafish was developed to enhance laboratory efficiency. Earlier academic experience includes research assistantship at the University of Tehran, analyzing element concentrations in Persian jirds to establish environmental baselines. Khazaee holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Tehran.
