George A. is a skilled machine learning professional with extensive experience in research and leadership roles. Currently serving as Machine Learning Tech Lead and Machine Learning Engineer at GPTZero since August 2023, George previously worked as a Machine Learning Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Vector Institute from January 2019 to May 2023. Notably, George completed a Machine Learning Research Internship at Amazon in 2020 and held various academic roles at the University of Toronto, including Head Teaching Assistant and Masters Student. Earlier experience includes working as an Algorithmic Trading Software Engineer at Scotiabank and research roles at the Princess Margaret Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Laboratory. George holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science, as well as a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
