Derek Smithson has extensive experience in software development, currently serving as Sr. Director of Software Development at GPS Insight since June 2020. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Sr. Director, Software Development at Christie Digital Systems, where work focused on high-end, real-time video processing systems from December 2017 to June 2020. Derek's experience also includes serving as Software Engineering Director and Software Engineering Manager at BASELAYER from December 2014 to December 2017, responsible for managing the DCIM software development product team.
