Keith Mar has been in the software engineering industry since 2001. Keith began their career at Blackbaud as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the front end features of Donations, Event Registrations, and Directory, as well as a batch process to download data into the CRM (BBEC). Keith then moved to UCSD in 2013 as a Contract Web Developer, building custom parts using the Blackbaud SDK to replace the existing online giving website. In 2015, they transitioned to Trackforce as a Web Developer, where they converted existing .NET webforms Guardtek application to Angular and worked on a new product prototype (not released). In 2017, they moved to TransCore as a Software Engineer III. Most recently, in 2018, they began working as a Front End Developer at GovX.

Keith Mar received their Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego between 1994 and 1999.
