Mike McDermott has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Military Officer in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2011. Following their military service, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at EMC from 2011 to 2016, where they managed over 100 Data Storage Implementation projects and received the Corporate Excellence Award for superior management. McDermott then joined Quest Media & Supplies, Inc. as an Account Manager from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, they transitioned to Gartner, where they served as a Senior Account Executive for Army Programs until 2021. Currently, McDermott holds the position of Vice President - National Security at Govini since early 2021.

Mike McDermott attended the United States Naval Academy from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Mike also obtained the certification of Graduate - Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training - Class 256.
