James Cremer has been in the workforce for over 30 years. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Scientist for Clinical Ink. Prior to this, they were a Professor Emeritus and Professor at the University of Iowa from 1992. James also co-founded GotIt! Inc. in 2013, Tutor Universe, Inc. in 2011, and Digital Artefacts in 1999.

James Cremer attended Cornell University but did not pursue a degree or field of study.
