Federico Baravalle has a range of work experience in various industries. Federico began their career as an intern at DENSO, where they worked as a Process Engineer, focusing on the development and optimization of an HVAC unit assembly line. Federico then moved on to the BENTELER Group, where they served as a Quality System Engineer, managing improvement actions and conducting internal audits across multiple production plants.
Baravalle later joined the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge as a Graduate Consultant, working on consulting projects for multinational companies. Federico collaborated on projects involving costing and financial modeling, market entry strategy, operations improvement, and material flow optimization.
After completing their graduate degree, they worked as a Engagement Manager at the Cambridge Consulting Network, where they provided pro bono consulting services. Following this, Baravalle joined the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as a Corporate Strategy Analyst, working on global initiatives and providing strategic advice to the CEO and Board of Directors. Federico'sresponsibilities included commercial due diligence, quantitative modeling, M&A screenings, and project team collaboration.
Federico then transitioned to trivago, first serving as the Country Manager for Italy, where they oversaw business development and P&L for the Italian platform. Federico later took on the role of Country Manager for Italy, UK, and Ireland, responsible for the business development and financial performance of these markets. In their final position at trivago, Baravalle served as the Head of Developed Europe, overseeing business development, financial performance, and marketing execution for the European region.
Currently, Baravalle works at GoStudent, where they hold multiple roles. Federico serves as the Vice President of Global Marketing and previously held positions as the Vice President of Global Tutor Operations and the Director of Tutor Supply.
Throughout their career, Baravalle has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, financial analysis, marketing, and team management.
Federico Baravalle holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Systems, Manufacturing and Management (ISMM) from the University of Cambridge. Federico also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Tongji University. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma di maturità scientifica from Liceo Scientifico Copernico di Torino. Federico has also obtained certifications such as IELTS: 8 from the University of Cambridge and D.E.L.E. Nivel B2 95,41/100 from Instituto Cervantes.
