Joseph Grogan has extensive experience in various roles related to engineering, technology, and research. Joseph is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Gopher Resource, where they lead a team of 50 people and is responsible for operational and strategic technology initiatives. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Engineering & Technology and Vice President of R&D at Gopher Resource, overseeing manufacturing volume performance, new product development, and technology innovation. Joseph also worked as the Director of R&D at Gopher Resource, where they established and developed the company's technology group. Before joining Gopher Resource, they worked as a Senior Metallurgist at an undisclosed company. In addition to their work at Gopher Resource, Joseph also has experience as a Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines, a Consultant Engineer at SRK Consulting (UK), a Consultant Engineer at the Research & Productivity Council, and a Researcher at the University of Tehran.
Joseph Grogan has a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Joseph also holds an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education, which they obtained in 2019. Additionally, they have completed various European M.Sc. programs in Minerals Engineering from different universities, including the University of Exeter, Aalto University, RWTH Aachen University, and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, all completed in 2009 to 2010. Joseph Grogan also has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Geochemistry from University College Dublin, completed from 2003 to 2007. Finally, they have earned additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of St. Thomas (in 2020) and Cause Mapping for Facilitators from ThinkReliability (in 2019).
