Simon Glass

Engineering Manager, Chrome OS at Google

Simon Glass is an experienced engineering manager and entrepreneur with a strong background in software and hardware development. At Google since October 2010, Simon established and expanded the Chrome OS team to 70 members while managing a multimillion-dollar budget and overseeing Chromebook development. Previous roles at Google included engineering management for Vendor Integrations in Google Payments and serving as a firmware lead for Samsung's first ARM-based Chromebook. Prior to Google, Simon founded and led Bluewater Systems Ltd, achieving $4 million in revenue through successful project acquisitions in multiple countries. Additionally, experience at ARM Inc. involved business development for new design initiatives. Simon holds a B.Sc with First Class Honours in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury.
