Shanika Hope, PhD, is an accomplished leader in technology education and digital skills development, currently serving as the Director of CS Impact and Outreach at Google since May 2021. With extensive experience at Amazon and Amazon Web Services, Shanika has led various initiatives focused on innovative STEM education and equitable access to computing education. Previous roles include Vice President at McGraw-Hill Education, where Shanika fostered partnerships with urban school districts, and VP at Discovery Communications, overseeing curriculum and instructional resources. Additionally, roles at Friendship Public Charter Schools and the DC State Education Office highlight expertise in school turnaround and policy implementation. Shanika holds a PhD in Education Leadership from Old Dominion University and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Technology at the University of Pennsylvania.
