Saad Syed is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and cloud computing. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Google, Saad focuses on Google Compute Virtualization, a core service of Google Cloud Platform. Prior to this, Saad held the position of Head of Engineering at Stripe, where efforts centered on enhancing the reliability and efficiency of economic infrastructure for a diverse clientele. Saad's career at Microsoft spanned over two decades, culminating in the role of Vice President of Engineering, with significant contributions to Azure's datacenter resources and the development of Azure's Virtual Machine Control Plane. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
