S M Sohan is an experienced Engineering Manager at Google since January 2022, focusing on Google Cloud Run and Functions, with prior leadership of the GCP Serverless Runtimes team. Previously, S M Sohan served as Principal Group Engineering Manager at Microsoft from October 2020 to January 2022, where the formation of frontend teams for Azure Communication Services took place, alongside the development of open-source libraries and applications for communication experiences. S M Sohan's extensive background includes a role as Manager III at Cisco, leading teams on Cisco Secure Endpoint, and positions at Sourcefire and ThoughtWorks, involving contributions to cyber security software and agile software delivery. Academic achievements include a PhD and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, alongside a BSc in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
