Federico Villa is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in interaction and experience design. Currently serving as Design Lead at Google since March 2022, Federico oversees the Gemini project, previously known as Bard, and previously led design and strategy for Ambient Computing across all Google hardware products. In addition to industry roles, Federico is an Adjunct Professor at the California College of the Arts, teaching in the MFA Interaction Design Graduate Program. Past positions include Senior Interaction Designer at Google, where contributions were made to FuchsiaOS and founding Ambient Computing, and Senior Experience Designer at fuseproject, focusing on innovative design projects for various high-profile clients. Federico has also mentored students in UX Design at Springboard and held key design roles at IA Collaborative, Citrix, and Hewlett-Packard, with academic credentials from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Industrial and Service Design.
