Chuck Wu serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Google since February 2006, where responsibilities include leading Search Platforms, the Knowledge Engine organization, and Search Indexing and Web Crawl. Wu has played a pivotal role in developing Search's infrastructure and data across various stacks, with a focus on enhancing user experiences through the Knowledge Graph and managing extensive data infrastructure and content warehouses. Prior to Google, Wu worked at IBM Research in 2001 and 2005 on projects involving large-scale storage system performance analysis and wide area file service prototyping. Wu holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
