Ankur Agiwal is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Google since October 2012, Ankur leads a team of approximately 150 engineers in building next-generation ads conversion infrastructure, enhancing efficiency, reliability, scalability, and privacy for key Google products. Previously, Ankur worked at Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Azure networking and developing critical systems for data center security and network monitoring. Ankur co-founded PC Remote, a highly successful Windows Phone app with over 10 million users. Ankur's earlier experience includes research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on asynchronous computer architecture and internships in operating system development in Switzerland and simulation software in Germany. Ankur holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
