Ted Ipsen has worked in a variety of roles in the security industry since 2009. Ted began as Application and Product Security Manager at Vertafore in 2009, then moved to Director of Operations at iSEC Partners in 2011. From 2013 to 2017, they were Vice President & Director of Security Training Services and Regional VP & Director of Risk Management and Governance Services at NCC Group. In 2018, they became Vice President of Curriculum and Eminence Grise at The Prelude Institute. In 2017, they became President and COO of Positroniq, LLC. In 2020, they were Chief Information Security Officer at Goodwell Technologies, Inc. In 2021, they were Head Mechanic at 418 Intelligence Corp. and Principal Security Consultant at TIFFIN CYBER LLC, as well as vCISO at Salt Cybersecurity.

Ted Ipsen attended the University of Washington from 1986 to 1990, where they studied Society and Justice.
