Rebecca Samuelson, MFA has a diverse range of work experience. Rebecca started their career at Society19 as an Editorial Intern in July 2018. From there, they became an Assistant Poetry Editor at MARY: A Journal of New Writing in August 2018. In February 2016, they joined Quiet Lightning as an Associate Editor - Litseen, a role they held until December 2018. While working at Sylvan Learning as a Program Manager from November 2015 to June 2021, Rebecca gained valuable experience in education management. In March 2021, they became an Associate Poetry Editor at Poets Reading the News; this position ended in July 2021. Rebecca then became an Editorial DE&I Intern at GoodRx from January 2022 to July 2022. Currently, they are working as a Freelance Writer at GoodRx from July 2022. Additionally, in June 2021, Rebecca participated in the Publishing Workshop Fellowship at the Los Angeles Review of Books. Rebecca also worked as a Copyeditor at the same organization starting in August 2021. Their role as a Copyeditor is ongoing. Rebecca's experience also includes roles at Chestnut Review as a Social Media Coordinator from November 2021 to November 2022, Black Lawrence Press as an Anthology Editorial Intern from September 2021 to March 2022, and Fauxmoir as a Staff Writer starting in October 2022.
Rebecca Samuelson, MFA, obtained their Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Saint Mary's College of California from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Rebecca has also obtained a certification in SEO from HubSpot Academy in February 2023.
