Jay Goltz

Founder + CEO at Goltz Group

Jay Goltz is the Founder and CEO of The Goltz Group, which was established in 1978 and encompasses a family of five companies connected by design. Goltz began by selling high-quality frames from a loft in an abandoned factory district of Chicago, inspired by the personal service model of the family's previous dime store. Additionally, Goltz served as a Small Business Blogger for the New York Times from 2009 to 2015, where insights were shared through the blog "Thinking Entrepreneur." Under Goltz's leadership, the custom frame shop, Artists Frame Service, expanded significantly, transitioning from $70,000 in revenue in 1978 to become the largest picture framing store in the United States, achieving over 20 times the revenue of an average framing shop.
