Dan Rowell currently serves as an Environmental Specialist in the Environmental Services Division of the City of Goleta, focusing on watershed protection and materials management to promote a sustainable community. Previously, Dan held various roles at the City of Santa Barbara, including Senior Environmental Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed construction waste management, technology and data management, and oversight of multiple environmental programs. Dan's expertise extends to GIS management and Salesforce administration, facilitating the development and implementation of various sustainability initiatives. Dan also contributed to academia as a guest lecturer on organics diversion at UC Santa Barbara and has actively participated as a speaker at industry conferences. Dan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
