Gary Chapman has over 20 years of experience in the engineering industry. Gary started their career as the Director and Chief Engineer at Frankipile Australia Pty Ltd from 1998 to 2006. After that, they worked as the Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Worley Parsons Services for a year. In 2007, Gary joined Golder Associates Pty Ltd as a Principal, where they were responsible for designing and analyzing deep foundations, retaining structures, and near shore foundations. Gary also worked on projects involving piled rafts, tall buildings, and bridges. In 2009, they were promoted to the position of Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Golder Associates, where they continue to work currently.
Gary Chapman earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Monash University between 1969 and 1972. Gary then pursued a PhD in Geomechanics - Friction cone penetrometers from the same institution, completing it between 1973 and 1977. In 1997, they obtained an MBA from RMIT University.
