Amber Kaplan is an Operating Partner at Goldenrod Ventures, focusing on investments in women-led companies within emerging tech sectors like health, climate, community, and media since 2023. Kaplan also serves as Managing Director at Amber Lab, LLC, and Library Advisory Commissioner for the City of Carpinteria. As a Life Science Advisor for The WXR Fund since 2019, Kaplan has held key roles including Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Business Officer (interim) at Karma Biotechnologies, and Senior Advisory Board Member at NKGen Biotech, Inc. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from USC Marshall School of Business (2022-2024), a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Molecular Genetic & Immunology from UCLA (2014-2016), a Ph.D. in Immunology from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (2008-2013), and a B.A. in Biology from UC Santa Barbara (2002-2006).
