Xavier Golay has a diverse work experience in various scientific and academic roles. Starting in 1998, they served as a Post-doctoral fellow at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich. Xavier then worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Philips Post-doctoral Fellow, Research Associate, and later as an Assistant Professor. In 2003, they joined the National Neuroscience Institute as a Research Faculty before moving to A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research, where they were the Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Imaging. In 2005, Golay became a Professor at University College London and served in several positions, including Head of the Department of Brain Repair and Rehabilitation and Vice-Dean (Enterprise). Xavier also held the role of Chief Scientific Officer at Imgenious and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Gold Standard Phantoms. Overall, they have expertise in brain imaging and rehabilitation research.
Xavier Golay completed their education at two prestigious institutions in Switzerland. Xavier pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1989 to 1994. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by completing a Ph.D. in Physics at ETH Zürich from 1994 to 1998.
