Jennifer DeLaurent began their work experience in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant at Rocky Mountain Radio, where they worked until 2010. In 2009, they joined Appen as an Auditor and stayed there until 2014. Jennifer then worked as a Freelancer at ProVillage, Inc. starting in 2014. In 2015, Jennifer became a Project Manager at DemoChimp. Additionally, since 2010, they have also been the Owner of Pawsitive Altitudes, a doggy daycare and training facility where they provide nutrition and training consults, daily let outs or doggy taxi to vet appointments.

Jennifer DeLaurent attended Colorado State University from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Additionally, they acquired a BS degree in Psychology from the same institution.
