Rick Pauls

Rick Pauls has over 29 years of experience in the finance industry. Rick started their career in 1991 as a Senior Auditor at PwC, where they spent one year on an international tour of duty in Saudi Arabia. In 1995, they moved to Nortel Networks as an Accounting Manager at their USA Headquarters and was awarded Leadership Excellence, Quality Excellence and Innovation Awards. In 2003, Rick Pauls joined United Surgical Partners International, Inc as the Director of Finance for their Surgis Division. Rick was responsible for the financial reporting and prepared the financial forecasts, schedules and analyses used when Surgis was sold to United Surgical Partners. Rick also worked with the CFO on a private placement offering, the re-negotiation of Surgis’ senior debt facility, and the exploration of potential mergers and joint ventures with other ambulatory surgery center companies. In 2014, Rick Pauls became the Chief Financial Officer at HaYovel, where they facilitated the non-profit mission and built stakeholder value, increasing revenue from $600K to $1.3M. In 2017, they took on a Consultant role at Surgery Partners, Inc, managing various projects related to the integration of National Surgical Hospitals, and the implementation of the new revenue recognition accounting standard, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and journal entry automation. In 2018, Rick Pauls joined Groups: recover together. as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, Controller. Rick led value-added analysis and financial planning activities and directed a team of professionals to oversee accurate and timely payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheets, and compliance information to run 50+ locations in 7-states. In 2020, Rick Pauls became a CFO Consultant at Success CFO Services, where they created project level financial statement reporting, exit waterfall analysis, MSO proforma, cash-flow forecasting and internal process system integration. Rick also became the Chief Financial Officer at GoCheck Kids, where they partnered with pediatricians and hospitals to prevent the most prevalent childhood disabling condition: vision impairment.

Rick Pauls obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Abilene Christian University. Rick also holds a Certified Public Accountant certification from the State of Tennessee.
