Kia Britt has worked in the education field since 2010. Kia began their career as a Teacher for the Public Schools of Robeson County in 2010. In 2011, they became a Learning Community Support Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Teacher for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2018, they took on the role of Success Manager for Goalbook.

Kia Britt received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010. Kia then went on to earn their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Gardner-Webb University in 2013.
