Tom Bundgard

Associate Engineer at RADAR

Tom Bundgard has over 37 years of work experience in the engineering field. Tom began their career in 1983 as an Electronic Technician in the US Navy. In 2003, they joined Cobham (Remec Defense & Space, Inc.) as a Test Engineer II, where they analyzed customer requirements, developed test plans and procedures, trained and assisted Engineers and Technicians, and consulted with equipment vendors. Tom was later promoted to Electronics Technician III-IV-Master and acted as a technical project lead for the Gen IV Radar program and an Associate Engineer on the L3C Corvus/Globalhawk program. In 2014, they joined Keragis as a Senior Technician and Analog Devices as an Engineering Specialist V, where they built, tested, characterized, troubleshot, diagnosed, and repaired prototype CW and pulse High Power Amplifiers and complex Converter and PLL systems. Tom also laid out, cut, built, and tested quick-turn PCBs to characterize vendor devices using AutoCAD and the LPKF rapid prototyping system. Most recently, Tom joined RADAR as an Associate Engineer in 2020.

Tom Bundgard began their educational journey in 1990 when they attended Central Texas College. Tom then transferred to the University of Maryland Global Campus in the same year and completed their studies in 1999, majoring in Computer Science. In 2014, they enrolled at San Diego Mesa College to pursue a degree in Engineering, which they are still currently completing.
