Venu Kothuri began their professional career in 1993 as a Staff Application Software Engineer at Systems Software Associates - IBM affiliate. In 2000, they joined GNC Consulting as a Principal Consultant. Two years later, they moved to National City Bank as a Principal Consultant from GNC. In 2007, they became a Principal Consultant at Adesa. Two years later, they joined State Farm in the same role. Finally, in 2001, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Northwestern Mutual.

Venu Kothuri's education history includes a MCA from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka from 1988 to 1991, a M.Sc. from the National Institute of Technology Warangal from 1987 to 1989, and a B.Sc. from SKBR College from 1984 to 1987 with a focus on Math, Physics and Chemistry. Additionally, they also obtained a B.Sc. from SKBR College in Amalapuram from 1984 to 1987, with a focus on Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
