Danny Harris has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Danny started their career in 1999 as a Sports Information Director (SID) for UC Santa Barbara Sports Information Department. In 2000, they worked as a Counselor for Decathlon Sports Club of Los Altos and as a Customer and Technical Support for Andale. Danny also worked as a Sports Information Director for University of California. In 2001, they joined AuctionDrop as the Director of Operations and was part of the team that made it the 6th highest-volume seller on eBay. In 2008, they were recruited by PowerReviews as the Senior Director of Operations, where they were responsible for growing and owning the Operations organization. In 2013, they moved to Digimarc as the Senior Manager, Product Operations. In 2014, they returned to PowerReviews as the Vice President of Product Strategy and VP Content Operations; Product Manager, Network. In 2018, they founded GMDY, Inc. and built all aspects of the GMDY- The athlete storytelling, monetization, and branding B2B2C sports tech platform. Danny also led efforts to introduce Web3 features (including NFT collections), giving GMDY the current mission of being the Athlete Storytelling Platform for Branding, Monetization, and Analytics.
Danny Harris obtained a BA in Communication from UC Santa Barbara between 1996 and 2000. During this time, they also obtained a Minor in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management. In August 2021, they obtained a Front Office Sports Athlete Marketing Essentials: NIL certification from Front Office Sports.
