David (Mick) Rix has a wide range of experience in various roles within trade unions and the railway industry. Currently, David is a National Officer at GMB Union, where David (Mick) is responsible for organizing and strategic leadership. Prior to this role, David held positions such as International Organiser at ITF, UK Campaign Organiser at TGWU/SEIU, and General Secretary at ASLEF Trade Union. David started their career as a Locomotive Engineer at British Rail and attended Primrose Hill High School.
