Mitu Khandaker is the CEO and Co-Founder of Glow Up Games, a company focused on creating inclusive and innovative gaming experiences that center on diverse narratives, particularly celebrating Black and brown joy. Since February 2019, Mitu has led Glow Up Games to become the first woman of color-founded company in the mobile games industry to secure over $1 million in equity funding. Additionally, Mitu serves as an Associate Arts Professor at New York University since September 2015 and was a key member of the founding team at Spirit AI from January 2016 to February 2019, initially as Chief Creative Officer and later as Creative Partnerships Director, where Mitu contributed to developing tools that enhance game accessibility and user engagement. Mitu holds a PhD in Creative Technologies and an MEng in Computer Engineering, both from the University of Portsmouth.
