Berto Guzman has a diverse and impressive work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Berto started their career as an Account Executive at Saatchi & Saatchi, managing the production process for Toyota Motor Corp. Berto then joined DIRECTV as a Manager of Marketing and later became a Senior Manager of Marketing for Latin America, where they developed marketing programs and strategic partnerships.
Guzman continued to advance their career at Starz, where they served as Division VP of Content Distribution and Marketing, responsible for revenue and distribution of premium TV networks. Berto then joined International Media Distribution as SVP of Content Distribution and Marketing, achieving aggressive revenue growth and restructuring the organization.
Following this, Guzman became VP of Content Distribution and Marketing at Fuse Media Inc., increasing revenue and distribution through affiliate partnerships. Berto was also the Vice President of Content Distribution & Marketing at REVOLT MEDIA & TV, developing and executing account strategies to increase revenue and distribution across digital and traditional platforms.
Guzman further expanded their expertise at Z Living Network, where they worked as the Senior Vice President of Media Distribution and Partnerships, overseeing the leading health entertainment TV network and delivering Bollywood movies in Spanish to the Hispanic audience.
In addition to working with these major companies, Guzman also co-founded Guzman Consulting, where they provided strategic consulting services for media companies and expanded the distribution of PayTV and FAST channels. Berto also owned a Ben & Jerry's retail franchise, managing all aspects of the business.
Most recently, Guzman joined Globecast as the Head of Content Licensing & Distribution. In this role, they lead content licensing, partnership, and distribution in the Americas and provides strategic direction for content platform negotiations globally.
Throughout their career, Guzman has consistently demonstrated their ability to increase revenue and distribution through strategic business development, negotiations, and marketing campaigns.
Berto Guzman pursued their education at different institutions with a focus on executive management and communications/marketing. In 1986, they enrolled at California State University-Dominguez Hills and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications/PR and Marketing. Later, in 2001, Berto attended the UCLA Anderson School of Management for a brief period to further enhance their knowledge in executive management, although no specific degree is mentioned.
