Christine McLear serves as the Workforce Development Lead at GlobalFoundries since June 2024, previously holding the position of Director of Workforce Development at the Center for Economic Growth from July 2021 to May 2024. Christine managed the Group Sponsor program for NYS Registered Apprenticeship and focused on regional workforce needs in that role. Earlier experience includes roles such as Project Director of Apprenticeship and Healthcare and Program Coordinator for various Workforce Development programs at SUNY Schenectady, as well as Development Associate and Site-Based Program Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. Christine's career began as a Sexuality Educator at Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes and also includes experience as a Co-Manager at Bath & Body Works. Christine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work from Ithaca College.
