Daniel Ortega is an experienced environmental scientist and planner currently working at an engineering firm specializing in NEPA compliance for government services. In addition to this role, Daniel serves as acting talent for educational video shoots with PADI and holds the position of Volunteer Executive Director for the Marine Genome Project, where responsibilities include leading genetic data collection from marine organisms and creating educational materials for underrepresented communities. Daniel has a strong background in biodiversity research, having spearheaded projects focused on marine ecosystems and underwater cave systems. Active in professional communities, Daniel is a National Member of The Explorers Club and engages in technical diving and cave diving with Global Underwater Explorers. As co-owner and Director of Training at Exos Dive, Daniel contributes to the development of diving expertise. Daniel is pursuing a Master of Science in Biology at Arizona State University, complementing a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on conservation biology and ecology.
