Brittney Petel

Inorganic Formulations Scientist at Global Thermostat

Brittney Petel, Ph.D., currently serves as a Materials Scientist at Starfire Energy since February 2023, following a tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from November 2020 to February 2023. Prior to that, Brittney worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Rochester in the Department of Chemistry under the guidance of Professor Ellen M. Matson, focusing on various chemical investigations from August 2015 to September 2020. Brittney also has experience as an instructor for courses aimed at engaging students in the Rochester City School District, developing lesson plans and experiments for elementary students during National Chemistry Week. Earlier academic roles include teaching assistantships at both the University of Delaware and the University of Rochester. Brittney holds a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Delaware.
