Aya Kibesaki is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Education Specialist at the Global Partnership for Education since January 2014. Prior to this role, Aya worked with UNICEF Nepal for a decade, holding various positions including Education Specialist and Education Officer. Earlier career experiences include a Researcher role at IC Net Consultancy and an internship focusing on the evaluation of an HIV/AIDS prevention project at the Institute of Cultural Affairs. Aya possesses advanced degrees in International Education from the University of Sydney, in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (University of Sussex), and a BA in Political Science from Keio University.
