Rolvix Patterson is an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Resident at Duke University Hospital, where involvement in the NIH-funded Otolaryngology Surgeon-Scientist career Path program is ongoing. As Co-Founder and Vice President of the Global OHNS Initiative, Rolvix aims to enhance the accessibility and quality of global otolaryngology care through research and advocacy. Current research fellowships include a one-year position at the Fogarty International Center at NIH in global health and a two-year program at the Duke Global Health Institute focused on training global health leaders. Additionally, research work at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences investigates global hearing health disparities. Previous experiences include research positions at Harvard Medical School and various roles within Health Equity International and EqualHealth, emphasizing global health and medical education. Rolvix holds an MD and an MPH from Tufts University School of Medicine and a BA in Global Health from Duke University.
